Film coating with adhesive via transfer adhesive films means: A technical film (e.g., PET, PP, PE, PC) is not coated directly, but is equipped with a self-adhesive via a defined transfer adhesive film. The transfer film consists of a pure adhesive layer (without its own carrier) or a very thin adhesive build-up and is supplied on a release liner.

During lamination, the transfer film is laminated onto the base film under a defined pressing pressure in a bubble-free manner. Subsequently, the laminate can be further processed as roll stock, e.g., by cutting, rewinding or punching.
