Klebeband Liner im Überblick
A liner (also protection cover, separating film or separating paper) is the removable cover on the adhesive side of a tape – especially with double-sided or transfer-type variants. It protects the adhesive layer from dust, dirt and inadvertent sticking and ensures reliable, process-safe handling, e.g. during punching, dispensing or applying.
Depending on the application, the liner typically consists of PET polyester, calendered paper (e.g., Glassine) or PE-coated paper and is often silicone-coated on one or both sides to allow it to be removed easily and in a controlled manner.
